The new album from excellent Sydney band Between the Devil and the Deep, Paper Spine, is out now.

The record cover features a photo of mine, so I thought I’d show you the source image for the cover. Tim George from the band tweaked the shot and made it look all neato. There are also a few of my shots throughout the booklet that accompanies the album.

Here’s the original, shot in the thick fog at Branches festival, Healesville, Victoria, in November 2010. I set the shot up and had a pal fire the shutter for me on the Polaroid camera I had borrowed from my pal Mike. That’s me in the picture, by the way.

I never thought I’d be on the cover of an album, but stranger things have happened, I guess.
